Solve:

$-4x^2-7x+2x(2x-5)<-17$

This seems a quadratic inequality but this is not the case.
We can write this inequality as:

$-4x^2-7x+4x^2-10x<-17$

$-17x<-17$

We divide both sides of the inequality by the negative number $-17$ and thus the 'less than' sign becomes a 'greater than' sign:

$x>1$
