Simplify:

\displaystyle\frac{x^3(x^{\frac{1}{3}})^6}{\sqrt[4]{x^{12}}}

Solution

We use the rules for exponents and get:

(x^{\frac{1}{3}})^6=x^2

and

\sqrt[4]{x^{12}}=x^3

resulting in:

\displaystyle\frac{x^3x^2}{x^3}=x^2
