Assignment 16

Differentiate:

y=\displaystyle\frac{\sin(x)}{x}

Solution

This is a quotient and thus we have to apply the quotient rule.
We have:

t'(x)=\cos(x)

n'(x)=1

and thus:

y'=\displaystyle\frac{x\cos(x)-\sin(x).1}{x^2}=\displaystyle\frac{x\cos(x)-\sin(x)}{x^2}
