Differentiate:

(x^2+1)\ln(x)

Solution

In this function we have:

f(x)=x^2+1

and:

g(x)=\ln(x)

and thus the derivatives are:

f'(x)=2x

and:

g'(x)=\displaystyle\frac{1}{x}

The result is:

y=2x\ln(x)+(x^2+1)\displaystyle\frac{1}{x}=2x\ln(x)+x+\displaystyle\frac{1}{x}'
