Solution assignment 03 Partial differentiation

Calculate the first, second and mixed partial derivatives of the following function.

$f(x,y)=2xy^2-3xy+y^2-2x$

Again, a minor problem are the terms in which a product occurs of $x$ and $y$ .

$f_x=2y^2-3y+0-2=2y^2-3y-2$

$f_y=4xy-3x+2y-0=4xy-3x+2y$

$f_{xx}=0$

$f_{yy}=4x-0+2=4x+2$

$f_{xy}=f_{yx}=4y-3$
